Turkish President Erdogan Plans Visit to Pakistan After Ramazan.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is set to become the first foreign head of state to visit Pakistan since Shehbaz Sharif assumed office as prime minister.

Erdogan’s visit is expected to occur after Ramazan, following a cordial exchange between him and PM Shehbaz immediately after the latter’s election victory.

Turkish Ambassador Dr. Mehmet Pacaci mentioned that while the exact date for Erdogan’s visit is yet to be finalized, the Turkish President is eager to visit Islamabad as soon as possible. However, Erdogan’s visit might be delayed due to local body elections scheduled in Turkey on March 31.

On another note, diplomatic sources revealed that PM Shehbaz is planning his first foreign visit to Saudi Arabia later this month during Ramazan. During a phone conversation, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman extended warm greetings to Shehbaz and expressed his desire for an early visit.

Several other important capitals have also conveyed their interest in hosting Shehbaz for an official visit, indicating their high regard
for Pakistan’s new leadership.

Regarding Pakistan’s National Day on March 23, which coincides with Ramazan, no decision has been made yet regarding the invitation of foreign heads of state or government. A final decision on this matter is expected to be made next week.
