Ramadan 2024 Set to Last 30 Days; Eid Expected on April 11 in Pakistan.



As predicted by the Met Office, Ramadan 2024 is anticipated to last 30 days this year and Eid ul Fitr is anticipated to occur on Thursday, April 11 in Pakistan.

According to experts, Pakistanis will observe 30 fasts during Ramadan with the Shawwal moon set to appear around April 10 (Wednesday), signaling its end and thus marking an official conclusion to Ramadan.

Eid ul Fitr holds immense cultural, spiritual, and religious significance for Muslims worldwide. This festival serves as an occasion for community unity and gratitude and special prayers are performed known as Salat Al Eid in mosques, open spaces, or large communal venues worldwide.

Eid ul Fitr in the UAE is expected to start on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. Ibrahim Al Jarwan of the Emirates Astronomy Society reported that the Shawwal moon could appear as early as April 9, signaling an end of the 30-day Ramadan period for Muslims living there.

Predictions indicate a cohesive observance of Ramadan and Eidul Fitr in Pakistan and UAE, enabling Muslims to plan, celebrate, and mark these holy occasions together and with reverence.
